The Van Alstyne Public Safety facility is a state-of-the-art police and fire station complex designed to meet the community’s growing needs. conduit and BVG4 Architecture were hired by the City of Van Alstyne after they parted ways with their previous firm. Restarting from programming, we quickly provided a conceptual design that improved flow and included an additional municipal building to be leased to the county temporarily. The approximately 45,000 square-foot facility will be located on an 8.64-acre site. This facility will serve as the new home for Van Alstyne Police Department and Fire Station No. 1, with dedicated space for administration, patrol, detectives, dispatch, booking, evidence storage, an Emergency Operations Center (EOC), and more. The site also incorporates Heroes Park, a vibrant pocket park designed to encourage creativity, physical activity, and community connection.
