Cottonwood Park

Cottonwood Park is an existing 3.2 acre neighborhood park located at the intersection of McDonald St and McMakin Street in McKinney, TX. The City is in the process of updating the outdated park, which will be the first major park renovation on the east side of McKinney. Cottonwood Park has a storied history in McKinney, and with its impact on the surrounding neighborhood, the renovation will be critical to the community and the McKinney parks system. Cottonwood Park sits in the old Cotton Mill district of McKinney, so the redeveloped focusing on connecting to the rich history of the area, while addressing connectivity to the surrounding neighborhood, creating a destination for the local residents, and defining the park as a portal into the McKinney historical district.
