TPD Smiles Orthodontics, is a new 5,398, sq ft pediatric orthodontist practice located in McKinney, Texas. This facility is an addition to multiple, existing commercial properties that service the growing needs of the local community. The building has several open exam rooms, kid's area, and second floor deck for employees and guests to relax and wait while procedures are occurring. The design considers the regional context of its surrounding area with high pitched roofs and use of masonry, but fusing with some more contemporary touches of exposed steel, metal panel, and lots of glazing. The interior opens to a huge double height lobby with a fun, "steam-punk" theme that carries throughout the space for the children and adults to make their experience enjoyable and playful. ​
